DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

The ideal candidate will provide administrative support through detail orientation, strong communication, and exceptional organization skills to support the executive team of ArcelorMittal Calvert. 

The Basics:

  • High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma required
  • 5+ years assisting senior leadership or related experience
  • Microsoft Office Suite and SAP
  • Proficient computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Able to competently handle a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
  • Handles confidential and non-routine information including explaining policies as needed
  • Prioritizing conflicting needs, proactive situational management with decisive and expeditious action, and following through with projects to successful completion frequently with challenging deadlines
  • Processing vacation / time off requests, reviewing / approving visitor requests, and issue extended visitor passes
  • Planning and organizing site tours
  • Supporting team members by assisting with Helpdesk tickets, ordering office supplies, entering Purchase Requisitions and goods receipts, ordering food and/or flowers for various events, and office / desk key management
  • Pulling data to create, analyze, and / or distribute reports such as Daily Operating Reports, Maintenance Reports, Monthly Summaries
  • Managing company / fleet vehicles
  • Supporting Administrative Assistants across the site

 

The Extras:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, or similar preferred

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Scheduling and organizing complex activities including, but not limited to, meetings, travel, conferences, meals, and activities for members of the Health & Safety, Cold Rolling Mill, and Internal Logistics departments
  • Managing and maintaining Team calendars
  • Liaising with other mills, support groups, and customers both verbally and in writing
  • Preparing presentations, taking meeting notes, and managing multiple schedules
  • Demonstrate the company values of Safety, Teamwork, Accountability, Relationships, and Sustainability
  • Fulfill the commitment to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
  • Fulfill the responsibilities required to achieve the Quality Commitment
