DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
The ideal candidate will provide administrative support through detail orientation, strong communication, and exceptional organization skills to support the executive team of ArcelorMittal Calvert.
THE BASICS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering: Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Automation, Metallurgical and Materials or similar field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Process Technology field
- Background in steel or similar mill processes and products, knowledge in pickling, annealing and rolling process and technology
- Demonstrated knowledge of steel properties and applications
- Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to effectively work cross-functionally with various groups
- Ability to develop and deliver technical presentations at senior management level
THE EXTRAS:
- Leadership experience preferred
- Experience leading and/or managing teams within manufacturing industry preferred.
- Experience in NOES – Non-grain Oriented Electrical Steels product and process, including the following: Annealing Pickling line (APL), Reversing cold mill (RCM) and Annealing Coating line (ACL)
- Demonstrates strong decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong Teamwork and a hands-on working approach

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Align asset performance with short- and long-term business objectives by driving excellence across safety, process efficiency, innovation, and people development
- Developing and maintaining an effective technical team responsible for process technology and development. Lead Process Technology engineers
- Provides technical support for all NOES production units including but not limited to:
- Process and product development for production lines
- Troubleshooting quality problems
- Training process and operations teams
- Leads major improvement projects, improving process and product capabilities, throughput, cost (yield), energy and environmental performance, and coordination of technology activities between support areas
- Responsible for regular reporting of process performance to senior management and technology watch
