Located in Calvert, 35 miles north of Mobile, Alabama, our state-of-the-art steel processing facility has the capacity to process 5.3 million tons of high-value steel grades in the North America market. OVERALL PURPOSE: Operate semi-truck and trailer to deliver industrial spare parts to and from warehouse site in Theodore, AL to AM/NS Calvert in Calvert, AL.



  • Perform safety checks of brakes, steering column, lights and mirrors prior to each leg of journey to ensure road readiness
  • Follow and maintain loading protocols, using chains / strapping and binders to secure cargo and re-checking their stability throughout trips
  • Using a forklift, load truck with spare parts
  • Inspect trailers before and after loading, paying attention to status of air lines and jack positions and adjusting them as necessary
  • Visit weigh stations before and after packing to ensure that loads meet state safety regulations, making alterations to loads when required by law
  • Contribute to company data by honestly recording times of delivery and hours worked
  • Assist in unloading cargo at delivery sites as needed
  • Always adhere to traffic safety regulations, exercise caution in treacherous circumstances and report unsafe vehicle or road conditions to supervisors and highway authorities
  • Use GPS to stay informed of route information, and communicate with supervisors and colleagues using CB radio and cab computer



  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Possess a CDL A Commercial Driver’s License



  • Have a minimum of 6 months commercial driving experience
  • No driving record incidences for past two years
  • Have good interpersonal communication and customer-service skills
  • Be able to maneuver heavy products using forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Be willing to work a flexible schedule



  • Warehouse location in Theodore, Alabama
  • Driving back and forth between mill site in Calvert, Alabama to warehouse location




Shift work – 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM and/or 9:00 AM – 6:30 PM



Will start candidate selection(s) in February 2021 preferably.  The contract will be for one year from start date. Start date goal: March 2021.



$27.70 hourly
