DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
The ideal candidate will provide supervision of operations personnel for the Central Warehouse Spare Parts area and optimize daily operations to meet the business goals of ArcelorMittal Calvert.
The Basics:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5-7 years of warehouse/logistics experience with knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control practices
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role
- Intermediate to Proficient skills in Microsoft Office programs
- Forklift, crane, or material handling equipment certification (or ability to obtain)
The Extras:
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field
- Experience using SAP
- Experience supporting maintenance and reliability organizations in a heavy industrial environment
- Experience with cycle counting programs, critical spares management, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Knowledge of 5S, Lean, or similar operational excellence methodologies

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Direct and supervise all warehouse and central receiving activities, including receiving, put‑away, storage, picking, kitting, order fulfillment, delivery, and cycle counting of spare parts, parcels and materials
- Lead the continuous optimization of warehouse activities through effective process development, oversight, and measurement while ensuring alignment with internal customers and stakeholders.
- Continuously administer ArcelorMittal safety policies and procedures throughout all warehouse operations
- Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts, analysis of discrepancies, and corrective actions
- Ensure all inventory transactions are accurate and updated real-time within SAP or equivalent system
- Implement problem-solving techniques throughout warehouse operations to determine root-causes and facilitate the development and implementation of corrective actions
- Lead team members to facilitate effective training and development [including compliance reviews, system training, equipment training] while ensuring accountability through performance reviews and corrective actions
- Supervise and coach team members while managing shift schedules, attendance, timekeeping, and work assignments

YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Warehouse / office (warehouse includes indoor and outdoor storage)
- Gulf coast region in Calvert, AL
- Days, Monday to Friday
- Industrial warehouse setting
- Rotating shift work includes nights, weekends, and holidays as required
- Use of material handling equipment and exposure to industrial conditions
