Located in Calvert, 35 miles north of Mobile, Alabama, our state-of-the-art steel processing facility has the capacity to process 5.3 million tons of high-value steel grades in the North America market. OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY: Diagnose causes of equipment malfunctions utilizing PLCs, standard diagnostic equipment, and process data acquisition software. Inspect, analyze, adjust and realign equipment as preventive maintenance. Disassemble, replace, repair, install, and assemble equipment parts, components, and accessories. Must be able to work independently and as a member of a multi-craft maintenance team in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repairs as necessary.



  • Conduct machine setup, troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance service
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
  • Perform maintenance including, but not limited to; electrical, PLC, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair to perform required maintenance and service
  • Demonstrates the company values of Safety, Teamwork, Accountability, Relationships, and Sustainability
  • Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules
  • Keep a strong focus on safety and housekeeping- The job is not finished until cleanup is done
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals

  • Ensure working knowledge of competencies as defined in ISO 9001:2015, IATF 16949:2016, ISO 17025:2005, and ISO 14001:2015



  • High School Diploma or GED



  • Strong electrical knowledge in an industrial environment
  • Knowledge based test to be given and is required to qualify for possible employment
  • 2 years electrical maintenance
  • Knowledge of power feeding and distribution, motors, and variable frequency drives (VFD)



  • Background with highly automated electrical equipment
  • Maintenance/repair/service experience
  • Demonstrates strong decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to competently handle a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Inquisitive nature and the ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal communications skills, written and verbal
  • Demonstrates strong work ethic and displays a high degree of professionalism
  • Interest and ability to work at our site location in Calvert, Alabama 



  • Mill/Industrial environment



  • Openings available on both
    • Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloads
    • Shift Work – Rotating 12 hour shifts to include days, nights, weekends, and holiday
