DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

The ideal candidate will drive the data analytics developments and process improvements in collaboration with stakeholders, advancing system capabilities to support the business goals of AM/NS Calvert.

 

The Basics:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative field (Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science) or related technical field or equivalent experience
  • Two years’ minimum experience with the following:
    • Efficient use of Data Visualization
    • Gathering data and completing an analysis to give business insights
    • Communicating and presenting business insights
    • Preparing reports and making suggestions for process improvements
    • Python, C#, and/or C++
    • Support development / develop tools and models
    • Support efforts to troubleshoot AI Models
  • Proficiency with SQL and/or NoSQL
  • Familiarity with agile methodology
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work well with peers and interact cross-organizationally as specified by manager

 

The Extras:

  • Machine Learning preferred
  • Experience with R language a plus
  • Experience working in process manufacturing industry preferred
  • Proficient in a BI tool, preferably Power BI
  • Building and populating Data Lakes
  • Experience with troubleshooting, tuning, and optimizing AI Models

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Act as liaison between big data and operational technology
  • Actively participating in the team activities, including brainstorming with customers and end users, and developing new innovative ways of completing tasks
  • Develop software applications that will support data transfer between systems
  • Responsible for Data Acquisition and Data Review
  • Use data visualization skills to pull the data together and interpret for business insights
  • Offer suggestions for Process Improvement from analysis of data
  • Capable of presenting and communicating results found from analyzing the data
  • Conduct new application implementation

 

YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Office Environment, to include hybrid work-from-home opportunities
  • Gulf coast region in Calvert, AL
  • Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloads
