We are looking for a Financial Accounting Analyst 

We are looking for qualified, results driven individual who wants to be part of a collaborative team that is transforming our company’s future with various processes. At North America segment, our approach is to support our business units and processes with accurate financial information, improve efficiencies and drive business value all within a continuous improvement culture while following & promoting best practices. The successful candidate will leverage their experiences and knowledge in various fields of accounting, finance, and BPM (internal reporting tool)/Hyperion/SAP global reporting process, working with a dedicated and passionate team, to help support and transform our financial reporting and business performance Landscape.. 


Role Accountabilities


  • Working on the monthly/quarterly/yearly closing process of the various assigned entities.
  • Accomplish the tasks below within the timeframe:
  • Gathering accurate and timely financial information to create accurate and timely accounting cycle journal entries and financial statements.
  • Generate local Trial Balance and financial statements
  • Upload BPM (internal reporting tool) schedules/Packages i.e. P&L, Balance Sheet, Forex, EBITDA etc. on a monthly/quarterly/Annual basis.
  • Reconciliation of the related party transactions (RPT) /confirmation and disclosure of RPT in BPM, following up with parties involved in case of discrepancies.
  • Comply with the reporting definitions of ArcelorMittal guidelines to provide consistent and informative management information and assist in ensuring compliance with Internal Control for the assigned entities.
  • Be responsible to alert management about operation weaknesses and identifying business process improvements.
  • Collaborate with local operations departments and staff as well as corporate finance staff.


  • Manage data in North America Financial cube; manage the process of gathering, processing, and importing data to the cube
  • Be an integral part of preparation of monthly performance report; monthly instructions, gathering/compiling data and interacting with units, to accomplish the task
  • Control, monitor and validate the financial data provided by the NAFTA segment units
  • Assist in the process of keeping track of actuals and forecasts of the monthly, quarterly, and annual performance compare and analyze actuals & forecasts with original budgets (variance analysis)
  • Assist in Financial planning & analysis for the profit & loss statement, and the balance sheet (variance analysis)


Education and Experience:


  • Bachelors’ degree in Accounting, Finance, or related background
  • CPA and/or CMA preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience, which should encompass:
  • Financial reporting process for monthly/quarterly/yearly closing.
  • Consolidated/managed financial information of different locations/ geographies on a regular basis.
  • Worked on the monthly performance reports or presentations.
  • Worked on reporting software like BPM/SAP/Oracle/Hyperion
  • Foundational understanding of steel business:
  • Self-motivated and self-driven to manage work, and to be an integral part of a dynamic team to advance our business and reporting goals.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure at times and with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • A track record for meeting deadlines
  • Awareness of emerging IT trends and directions to automate and digitalize the process.
