DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

The ideal candidate will provide internal logistics support through organized and timely scheduled and unscheduled logistics needs to meet the business goals of AM/NS Calvert. The Internal Logistics Specialists will work in the Process Management Team, supporting the intra-plant logistics for AM/NS Calvert.

 

The Basics:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Information Technology or similar, or equivalent work experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to effectively work cross -functionally with various groups.
  • Should have demonstrated knowledge about operational logistical processes, material flow, supply chain, or manufacturing processes in a steel producer/processor industry or similar manufacturing environment
  • experience in simulation and model building
  • Proficiency in MS Office products

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Have a key role in the design, planning, implementation, and improvement of logistical processes and equipment
  • Ensures continuous improvements in all areas of operation by researching and proposing solutions that improve safety, process, cost, and quality
  • Provides necessary coordination, facilitating interactive analysis and design sessions with representatives of business line and functional units
  • improve user productivity through developing and implementing new business process and systems solutions
  • Demonstrates the company values of Safety, Teamwork, Accountability, Relationships, and Sustainability
  • Develop Power BI report and create dashboards
  • Assist with physical inventory audits including reconciliations

 

YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Office and Industrial setting
  • Gulf coast region in Calvert, AL
  • Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloads
