The ideal candidate will provide Mechanical support for the Finishing Asset at Hot Strip Mill to meet the business goals of ArcelorMittal Calvert. 

The Basics:

•   High School Diploma/General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
•   At least 3 years of previous Mechanical maintenance experience, preferably in steel industry
•   Heavy industrial or mechanical equipment experience
•   Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
•   Schematic/Print Reading

 Knowledge of refractory and installation

The Extras:

•    Accredited vocational or technical program in an industrial setting desired
•   Hot Strip Mill experience preferred
•   Basic Knowledge of SAP
•   Working knowledge of high pressure pumps and boiler feed pumps desired
•   Experience with PDM activities- Vibration, thermography, pump and motor alignment, UT inspections etc.
•   Experience with troubleshooting, inspecting repairing hydraulics and lubrication systems

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

•     Performs maintenance inspections including, but not limited to, mechanical, hydraulic, power transmission, lubrication, process pumps, motor alignment, pump alignment, (precision maintenance), etc.
•     Housekeeping; Responsible for cleanliness of a designated area
•     Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance inspections and services
•     Knowledge of QA/QC inspections
•     Perform and assist in Lock Out Try Out of equipment, systems, and sub-systems
•    Interface with Production and Quality Team Members to trouble shoot any issues with product quality
•    Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules
•    Conducts machine setup, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance services, data analysis, vibration and thermography
