DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES

The ideal candidate will be based out of the Central Engineering team, to provide technical knowledge and skills to assist maintenance and production personnel site-wide in the implementation of equipment, system, and process improvements. In addition, this team member will also coordinate with third party engineering companies to support the business goals of AM/NS Calvert. 

 

The Basics:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree completed in Mechanical Engineering
  • 2 years’ minimum of industrial experience
  • Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering practices
  • Knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) Practices
  • Inventory, planning, operations research, and/or project management experience
  • Knowledge of Predictive Maintenance techniques and analysis
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)

 

The Extras:

  • Experience using SAP preferred
  • Experience using AutoCAD

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Coordinate Engineering activities to support maintenance areas in the implementation of System/Equipment modifications and/or improvements, including technical analysis, proposals and alternatives evaluation, cost estimates, diligence, factory testing and commissioning
  • Supports coordination of third-party Engineering contracting services
  • Maintain the company's technical documentation updated and available for consultation
  • Guarantee the technical support for the project management group, from the feasibility study phase to the coordination of the final acceptance tests, ensuring the technical quality, as well as ensuring the correct technical documentation after changes
  • Establish the minimum technical requirements necessary to purchase or modify equipment and/or systems by maintaining technical standards based on national, international, or corporate standards, incorporating new technologies whenever necessary
  • Provide regular updates to internal customers
  • Participates in execution of critical equipment inspections and analysis
  • Analyzes equipment data, recommended maintenance plans, and drawings
  • Writes technical Equipment Maintenance Plans
  • Track, manage, and report on project financial and scheduling statuses
  • Work with the project managers and engineers to develop proposals, reports, as well as presentations for monthly update meetings
  • Gather and analyze data required to support Project Management/Reliability-related processes and projects from multiple systems, utilizing available tools to automate reporting when possible
  • Update and maintain process maps, procedures, and other documents, and assist with monitoring internal compliance, as required
  • Observes safety, review accident/incident reports and assist in investigations as required
  • Leads, supports, participates in, and develops improvement programs and project groups
  • Supports management in optimizing quality, cost, availability, and performance of equipment

  • Gulf coast region in Calvert, AL
  • Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloads
