DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
The Payroll Representative will facilitate workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely, and will reconcile payroll prior to transmission, validating confirmed reports to support the business needs of ArcelorMittal Calvert.
THE BASICS:
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalency of relevant payroll work experience
• 2+ years minimum of demonstrated experience with processing hourly payroll for industrial environment or mid-sized company
• Working knowledge of payroll best practices
• Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations
• Familiar with Time Clocks and Workforce management applications
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel
THE EXTRAS:
• APA certification preferred
• Exposure and/or experience working with Ceridian DayForce Payroll & Workforce Management modules
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
• Perform daily payroll department operations
• Audit time sheets at end of pay period to ensure managers to approve
• Update current and develop new standard operating procedures to ensure four eyes principle
• Process federal and state garnishments, and other withholding orders
• Train new managers on timekeeping and scheduling procedures
• Process accurate and timely year-end reporting as prescribed
• Develop ad hoc financial and operational reporting as needed
• Create and deliver Time & Attendance training for managers and coordinators

• Office Setting
• Gulf Coast region in Calvert, AL
• Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloads
