OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:

The ideal candidate will provide internal support, oversight, standardization, and technical leadership of the     Project through organized practices and processes to meet the business goals of ArcelorMittal.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

  • Have a key role in the design, planning, and implementation of the project process definition/approval with engineering companies.

  • Responsible for project process excellence controlling all the project phases to be in line with the project requirements.

  • Must be willing to take the initiative and leadership to investigate issues and provide an input to resolve them.

  • projects process and strategic decision-making.

  • Provides necessary coordination, facilitating interactive analysis and design sessions with representatives of business line and functional units.

  • Provides guidance to business and functional units in developing tests and training plans and materials.

  • Provides day-to-day project support, as well as drives improved user productivity through developing and implementing new business process and systems solutions.

  • Demonstrates the company values of Safety, Teamwork, Accountability, Relationships, and Sustainability Demonstrates commitment to teamwork by fostering an environment that embodies trust and respect.

  • Approve project documentation

 

EDUCATION & ACCREDITATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or similar

 

KNOWLEDGE:

  • At least 5+ years of progressive industrial experience

 

Demonstrated understanding of control systems, instrumentation, process models (Process Management fundamentals); heat and mass transfer, combustion, chemical reactions and equilibrium (Chemistry and chemical engineering fundamentals), etc.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of (Metal Coated) Steel Strip properties and applications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)

  • Ability to develop and deliver technical presentations at a senior management level (including delivery of technical papers at industry conferences)

  • Should have demonstrated knowledge about manufacturing processes in a steel producer/processor industry or similar manufacturing environment

  • Project management skills needed (i.e. project plan development and tracking, issue resolution, risk mitigation, metrics development and tracking)

  • Able to competently handle a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills Demonstrates strong interpersonal communications skills, written and verbal.

  • Demonstrates strong work ethic and displays a high degree of professionalism.
