DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

The selected candidate will be responsible for efficient management of the agreement for industrial gases. In addition, the candidate will assist the team in matters related to natural gas and power supply while supporting activities to achieve the business goals of AM/NS Calvert.

 

 

The Basics:

· Bachelor’s degree in Law, Operations Management, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or experience equivalent

· Experience in purchasing industrial gases, natural gas and electricity

· Experience with negotiating and executing and managing supplier contracts

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)

· Strong communication skills with internal and external customers

 

The Extras:

· Solid understanding of Alabama contract law

· Steel manufacturing procurement experience a plus

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

· Manage existing agreement for Industrial Gases (supplied via onsite Air Separation Unit)

· Coordinate production outages with stakeholders’ outages

· Develop budget forecasts based on contract parameters

· Develop suppliers and supply chains for industrial gas, natural gas and electricity in cooperation with ArcelorMittal North America

· Negotiate supply contracts and execute spot purchases

· Negotiate detailed purchase contracts with 3rd party suppliers

· Work with mill areas to develop supply plans

· Fulfill the commitment to ensure a safe and healthy work environment

· Fulfill the responsibilities required to achieve the Quality Commitment

· Demonstrate commitment to teamwork by fostering an environment that embodies trust and respect

 

 

YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT

· Office setting

· Gulf coast region in Calvert, AL

· Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloads
