DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
The ideal candidate will support the Security Services department by providing security functions for the AM/NS Calvert site.
The Basics:
- High School Diploma or GED Certificate
- Current Driver’s License
- Must meet background requirements to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card issued by TSA or already possess a current TWIC card
- One year minimum experience in law enforcement, security enforcement, military service, and/or experience doing access control activities
- Comfortable with tablet and interactive app use
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)
- Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Professional written and verbal communication skills
- Experience handling nuanced and high-pressure circumstances
The Extras:
- Prefer experience applied in an industrial environment

- Military Police
- Law Enforcement

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Provides security services, which includes:
- Takes and receives emergency calls
- Dispatches Fire/Rescue Department
- Monitors site Camera System
- Monitors site Fire Alarm System
- Monitors sensitive Areas and reports issues directly to the RSO (Radiation Safety Officer)
- Monitors NucSafe Radiation Detection System
- Documents Ti-Slot deliveries and exits from the site
- Drives and operates security vehicles
- Selects and uses proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the task at hand
- Performs vehicle searches and conducts security related investigations
- Receives and documents site Hot Work and Confined Space permits
- Completes all required documentation and reports prior to end of each shift
- Uploads badge information into our badging system and prints badges for visitors and contractors
- Performs inspections and preventive maintenance security systems to include badge readers and checks of secure locations
- Verifies the operation of security and access control devices and documents and reports devices that are in need of repair or maintenance
- Performs various security activities throughout the plant to include site patrols and traffic details
- Fulfills the commitment to ensure a safe and secure work environment

YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Front Gate to the site
- Gulf coast region in Calvert, AL
- Work schedule will be on a four-on/four-off shift rotation working 12-hour shifts
