DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

The ideal candidate will provide technical and leadership support within the highly automated Hot Dip Galvanizing and Finishing Lines to meet the business goals of AM/NS Calvert. The #1 responsibility will be the Health & Safety of the HDGL Maintenance Shift team. We are looking for someone with strong leadership, time management, & personnel development skillsets.
 

The Basics:

  • Must have one of either:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Operations Management, or other relevant discipline 
    • 4+ years of Military leadership experience
    • 4+ years of relevant leadership experience in a Heavy Industrial or Steel Mill
  • Preferred 3+ years Mechanical or Electrical maintenance supervisory experience
  • Thorough knowledge of heavy industrial maintenance
  • Must be willing to lead by example and provide accountability for direct reports
  • Experience with continuous improvement processes
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)

The Extras:

  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineer
  • Reliability Centered Maintenance experience
  • SAP knowledge and experience

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Responsible for team Safety performance
  • Administers AM/NS’s safety policies and procedures
  • Leading monthly Safety meetings
  • Responsible for Incident reporting, investigation, & follow-up
  • Leads shift maintenance team to maintain the mill and to perform planned/unplanned maintenance
  • Responsible for after hour parts delivery on machine/equipment failures
  • Ensures adequate training delivered to maintenance shift team members
  • Participates in process improvement activities
  • Responsible for Key Performance Indicators for the assigned shift
  • Investigation of delays & equipment failures
  • Interacts with operation team members
  • Assists in the development of maintenance procedures
  • Work schedule for team members
  • Ensure work order reporting is accurate for each shift
  • Ensure delay data is accurate for each shift
  • Fulfills the commitment to ensure a safe and healthy work environment
  • Fulfills the responsibility required to achieve the Quality Commitment

 

 

YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Office and Industrial setting in the Hot Dip Galvanizing and Finishing Lines (HDGL & FL)
  • Gulf coast region in Calvert, AL
  • Shift Work – Rotating 12 hour shifts to include days, nights, weekends, & holidays (Potential overtime for coverage or outages)
