DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

Provides technical support/leadership for Central Maintenance technicians for proactive and reactive work implementation and policy integration. Utilizes assigned resources to maintain Lifting and Handling Equipment.

 

The Basics:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Management, or similar field; or equivalent experience leading a team in a mill environment
  • Minimum of High school diploma or GED required
  • 3 - 5 years Heavy Industrial Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance experience
  • 3 years maintenance supervisory experience
  • Experience in motivating and driving individuals toward a win-win situation
  • Management skills to lead a shift team in full autonomy
  • Demonstrate high accountability and leading by example
  • Ability to work in an operation team environment
  • Results-driven with capability of dealing with uncertainty
  • Advanced process control knowledge
  • Computer skills to include Microsoft Office

 

The Extras:

  • Technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance; can be learned on the job
  • Technical knowledge of steelmaking preferred

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Ensure working knowledge of competencies as defined in ISO 14001 (current version), IATF 16949 (current version), and ISO 17025 (current version)
  • Lead maintenance shift technicians to perform planned repairs.
  • Lead maintenance shift technicians to perform reactive repairs.
  • Train’s maintenance technicians.
  • Time administrator duties.
  • Responsible for performance management.
  • Participate in process improvement activities.
  • Responsible for Key Performance Indicators for the assigned team.
  • Safety inspection and incident investigation/reports.
  • Interact with operation team members.
  • Administer and is responsible for ArcelorMittal Calverts’s safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the development of maintenance procedures.
  • Work schedule for team members.
  • Ensure work order reporting is accurate.

HOURS OF WORK:

  • Rotating 12-hour shift rotation to include nights, weekend, and holidays
