DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

The ideal candidate will provide Maintenance/Technical expertise to ensure process and equipment reliability and meet the business goals of AM/NS Calvert. 

The Basics:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of experience in Mechanical and/or Electrical Maintenance roles
  • Knowledge of ASME, OSHA, CMAA specifications related to Lifting and Handling Equipment
  • General knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices for lifting and handling equipment
  • Fundamental knowledge of mechanical systems and components
  • Fundamental knowledge of electrical systems
  • Ability to read and fundamentally understand drawings and schematics
  • Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of lock-out try out procedures and policies
  • Knowledge of crane control and/or crane mechanical systems
  • Working knowledge of OSHA crane safety and inspection requirements
  • Knowledge of proper use of mechanical and electrical hand tools and test equipment

The Extras:

  • Secondary training/education
  • Predictive Maintenance experience (i.e. vibration analysis, thermography, laser alignment, oil analysis, etc.)
  • Functional knowledge/ Understanding of SAP, RMMS and CMMS programs

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Provide support for the installation, startup and commissioning of new equipment
  • Perform crane maintenance, inspections, repairs and troubleshooting activities
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with team and company policies and procedures
  • Provide program improvements for maintaining proactive lifting and handling support
  • Provide and support Lifting and Handling equipment repairs, inspection and maintenance activities
  • Work proactively with all customers to optimize lifting and handling equipment availability
  • Complete all work that may be assigned on shifts or day schedule
  • Support EH&S and mill teams on investigations for incidents and critiques related to L&H equipment

 

YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Industrial setting
  • Gulf coast region in Calvert, AL
  • Must be willing to work day shift or rotating 12 hour shifts to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays
