DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
The ideal candidate will provide technical knowledge to assist maintenance and production personnel in the implementation of civil/structure related modifications/improvements and coordinate third party Engineering companies to meet the business goals of AM/NS Calvert.
The Basics:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering
- 6+ years of experience in engineering in an industrial, construction, or similar industry
- Knowledge of civil/structural industrial applications; drainage standards, abatement, international building code, pavement, reinforced concrete applications, roadways, foundations, and steel structure applications
- Proficient with AutoCAD 16 or later
- Familiar with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint)
The Extras:
- Solid Works and REVIT experience a plus
- P.E. preferred

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Provide technical support and consultancy to the management structure in the civil/structural disciplines
- Coordinate Engineering activities to support maintenance areas in the implementation of building and other civil related modifications and/or improvements, including technical analysis, proposals and alternatives evaluation, cost estimates, diligence, and visual inspections
- Coordinate third party engineering contracting services from the scope definition phase, to the close out document phase; ensuring the non-interference of new deployments in existing processes, through participation and analysis in its developing phase
- Guarantee the technical support for the project management group from the feasibility study phase to the coordination of the final acceptance tests, ensuring the technical quality, as well as ensuring the correct technical documentation after changes
- Establish the minimum technical requirements necessary to purchase or modify equipment and/or systems by maintaining technical standards based on national, international, or corporate standards, incorporating new technologies whenever necessary
- Maintain the company's technical documentation updated and available for consultation
- Collaborate with other team members and production on needs to develop project needs.
- Provide regular updates to internal customers
- Ability to coordinate and execute multiple projects with minimal supervision
- Prepares and presents reports and findings by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Observes safety, review accident/incident reports and assist in investigations as required
- Leads, supports, participates in, and develops improvement programs and project groups
- Supports management in optimizing quality, cost, availability, and performance of equipment
- Coordinates and directs personnel as required
YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Office and Industrial setting; required to wear personal protective equipment in plant settings
- Gulf coast region in Calvert, AL
- Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloads
