DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

The Team Manager Coil Warehouse will be responsible for managing coil warehouse operations and promoting Safety within the Internal Logistics and any business that she/he may be working within. In addition, the Team Manager will provide Manufacturing and/or technical knowledge and skills to support Internal Logistics business units and other AM NS Calvert business processes that allow AM/NS Calvert to meet business goals.

The Basics:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Distribution, Business, Mathematics or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years Logistics or manufacturing experience to include positions of management and/or leadership capacity

• Heavy Overhead Crane Operations experience
• Knowledge of Business Unit systems: SAP, MES, and TWMS

The Extras:

• Experience with the Hiring and Management of team members
• Steel industry experience preferred

• Interest and ability to work at our site location in Calvert, Alabama 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Supervision of Coil Warehouse Team Members and operations
• Optimization of the operations in terms of capacity, energy consumption, lifetime, and availability
• Training of the Team
• Responsible for safety at work
• Developing improvements for quality, efficiency, and throughput
• Follow up of process improvements
• Conducts product trails through the Coil Warehouse
• Investigation and analysis of unplanned delays
• Evaluation of performance data and recommending resolution
• Investigation of quality issues
• Work together with the maintenance, production, and quality departments
• Leads team to support automation of cranes and vehicles
• Fulfills the commitment to ensure a safe and healthy work environment

• Demonstrates commitment to teamwork by fostering an environment that embodies trust and respect

YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Office and Industrial setting in the Steel Making Facility
• Gulf coast region in Calvert, AL
• Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloads
