DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
The Team Manager Coil Warehouse will be responsible for managing coil warehouse operations and promoting Safety within the Internal Logistics and any business that she/he may be working within. In addition, the Team Manager will provide Manufacturing and/or technical knowledge and skills to support Internal Logistics business units and other AM NS Calvert business processes that allow AM/NS Calvert to meet business goals.
The Basics:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Distribution, Business, Mathematics or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years Logistics or manufacturing experience to include positions of management and/or leadership capacity
- Heavy Overhead Crane Operations experience
- Knowledge of Business Unit systems: SAP, MES, and TWMS
The Extras:
- Experience with the Hiring and Management of team members
- Steel industry experience preferred

- Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office and SAP

- Basics of materials (Quality Control)

- Able to competently handle a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills

- Interest and ability to work at our site location in Calvert, Alabama
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Supervision of Coil Warehouse Team Members and operations
- Optimization of the operations in terms of capacity, energy consumption, lifetime, and availability
- Training of the Team
- Responsible for safety at work
- Developing improvements for quality, efficiency, and throughput
- Follow up of process improvements
- Conducts product trails through the Coil Warehouse
- Investigation and analysis of unplanned delays
- Evaluation of performance data and recommending resolution
- Investigation of quality issues
- Work together with the maintenance, production, and quality departments
- Leads team to support automation of cranes and vehicles
- Fulfills the commitment to ensure a safe and healthy work environment

- Demonstrates commitment to teamwork by fostering an environment that embodies trust and respect
YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Office and Industrial setting in the Steel Making Facility
- Gulf coast region in Calvert, AL
- Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloads
