Team Manager - Recruiting

Created in February 2014 through a 50/50 joint venture of the world’s largest and second largest steelmakers, ArcelorMittal and Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation, AM/NS Calvert is located in Calvert, AL.  Our state-of-the-art steel processing facility has the capacity to process 5.3 million tons of high-value steel grades including hot rolled bands, hot rolled pickled and oiled, cold rolled, and advanced coated products for the automotive, pipe and tube, appliance/HVAC, service center and construction industries in the NAFTA market.  

AM/NS Calvert products are marketed in NAFTA through managing joint venture partner ArcelorMittal.

 

 

OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY:

  • The Team Manager Recruiting will be responsible for full life cycle recruiting and possess proven success recruiting active and passive candidates.
  • The chosen candidate will lead a team of recruiters and guide them to become a state-of-the-art recruiting department in line with the company values and in line with employee experience and future of work principles.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES:        

  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of the recruiting process for all team members (job announcements, interview process, recruiting databases, website & job board postings, job fairs, social media recruitment, reference checks, onboarding the candidate).
  • Partner with hiring managers to ensure a clear understanding of position specifications, duties, qualifications and requirements
  • Manage professional level requisitions
  • Collaborate and interface with various levels of internal and external customers
  • Develop and implement creative sourcing strategies to identify highly qualified candidates
  • Keep up with the new trends in recruitment strategies and implement relevant tools and practices.
  • Support proposal efforts by identifying key personnel and extending contingent offers
  • Generate and report on recruitment metrics to management team
  • Oversee the campus recruiting and talent pipeline strategy by expanding our campus presence through alumni relations, sponsorships and campus-sponsored events, and branding strategy.

  • Ensures working knowledge of competencies as defined in ISO 9001:2015/IATF 16949 and ISO 14001:2015

 

EDUCATION & ACCREDITATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or related field plus 3 years’ experience in full lifecycle recruiting.

 

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Expertise in sourcing within LinkedIn, various subscription databases, and other media sources.
  • Demonstrated expertise of federal and state employment regulations & EEOC compliance and monitoring.
  • Proven track record of working in a fast-paced, complex, and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Have knowledge of federal and state laws regarding employment practices
  • Keen attention to detail, superior verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in SAP, MS Office applications, and applicant tracking system SuccessFactors.
  • Demonstrates strong decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Able to competently handle a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal communications skills, written and verbal
  • Demonstrates strong work ethic and displays a high degree of professionalism
  • Interest and ability to work at our site location in Calvert, Alabama

HOURS OF WORK:

  • Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloads
