DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

The ideal candidate will provide Maintenance/Technical expertise to ensure process and equipment reliability and meet the business goals of AM/NS Calvert. 

The Basics:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Good knowledge of Electrical Design
  • Power systems, SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), motor controls PLC’s, HMI’s, instrumentation common to power distribution and power controls

The Extras:

  • 5-10 years’ experience in medium or high voltage facilities, or Industrial electrical maintenance
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • 1-5 years’ experience of control work and trouble shooting
  • HVAC maintenance knowledge
  • Crane maintenance knowledge

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Maintain a high standard of safety awareness of medium voltage switchgear, switching, troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Medium Voltage testing (TTR, Megger, PF, HiPot, Ductor, and Sweep Frequency)
  • Report to Shift Coordinator (energy consumptions, problems, suggestions)
  • Work in a team environment working closely with HVAC and Cranes maintenance.
  • Participate in tendering process and be responsible for administrating electrical contract during construction installation
  • Prepare and participate in installation, check-out, start-up and commissioning of New electrical equipment
  • Develop and implement programs for start-up, commissioning of new equipment and long-term maintenance
  • Assist Development of long-term maintenance programs
  • Perform various electrical, maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs as needed in the assigned Central Maintenance area
  • Operate medium voltage switchgears
  • Elect. Testing, Infrared testing, HVAC work, Crane work
  • Maintaining NFPA 70E compliance

 

YOUR WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Industrial setting
  • Gulf coast region in Calvert, AL
  • Rotating 12 hour shifts to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays
