Who we are looking for Account Manager

At ArcelorMittal, we are looking for someone to join us at the forefront of the steel industry. As part of our Sales team, your contributions will be visible all around you, within the company and with our strategic customers. Ideal candidates enjoy modern, dynamic, supportive work environments and are looking for the freedom to take control of their careers. The account manager supports accounts based on product and/or market segments and is seen as a sales business liaison, advocating for their customers internally while considering internal business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and manages Account Plans for the assigned customer(s) providing customer profile information, and action plans that are consistent with company direction and Sales & Marketing & strategic objectives, and action plans to achieve said objectives.
  • Track performance to account sales objectives and other metrics; identify and execute corrective actions and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • As part of a cross-functional team of commercial, technical, and manufacturing experts, helps drive the organization to achieve strategic and tactical objectives related to profitability, volume requirements, pricing, quality, delivery, service, product development and early involvement and, when appropriate, supporting ArcelorMittal group objectives.
  • Functions in a team environment providing backup support to team members and participates in projects and special assignments as required.
  • Supports internal company goals including inventory management, payment performance and invoice payments/collections.
  • Respond to customer service requests, including inquiries regarding products, product delivery, availability, order status.
  • Develops and maintains customer relationships including responding to customer service needs, solicits new business to support sales plan objectives, manages the contracting process and communicates customer requirements and expectations.
  • Negotiates day-to-day customer-related issues. Able to interact and influence the customer through the negotiation process on day-to-day items including, but not limited to claims, freight, etc.
  • Identifies and communicates customer needs and performance; identifies actions necessary to meet customer requirements.
  • Communicates all business/market/customer intelligence back into the sales organization.
  • Annual business planning (ABP) & most recent forecast (MRF); and sales call planning.
  • Perform customer and market analysis by understanding ArcelorMittal NA & competitor capabilities, drivers, price trends, performance, and structures, as well as non-price competitive factors in customer markets

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 3 years of sales experience
  • Ability and willingness to travel (aprox 60%)
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Suite
  • Must have strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work and manage through non-traditional work schedules.
  • Demonstrates strong communications skills, both verbal and written

 

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Business-related field
  • Customer service, order management, pricing, selling in steel industry markets experience preferred
  • Fully utilizes the system resources and sales tools available such as C4C: Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Power BI: Delivery & Sales Plan, IBP Forecast tool, GMS, and newly developed future sales tools as part of daily management to perform job functions
