Who we are looking for a Marketing Analyst

 

Overall responsibility: 

  • To provide internal clients with strategic marketing analysis for the development of the AMNA Automotive Strategy and Business plan;
  • To provide analysis and input for performance management activities to ensure Automotive business results are tracked and achieved and participate in special project work. 

 

Accountabilities:

  •  Monitor, collect and build a repository of information on steel and aluminum competitors (product and process capability, shipments, market share, planned investments, etc.) from publicly available information and intel collected by AMNA sales and technical teams. Synthesize competitor intelligence and own process of building Automotive competitor profiles;

  • Monitor, collect and build a repository of information on automotive customers (e.g. investments, transaction, CO2 reduction/sustainability, etc.) from publicly available information and intel collected by AMNA sales and technical teams;

  • Monitor, collect and build a repository of information on Megatrends affecting the steel and automotive industry in NA. Own components of ACES megatrends and be the subject matter expert on few main ones;

  • Provide input for market assessments that analyze and forecast critical issues, customer needs, and support strategic files;

  • Provide input for performance management and global auto reporting functions:

  1. Collect and report business results to support decision making and planning

  2. Provide input for Automotive business planning and strategy

  3. Support projects that support the Automotive sales segment across the business units of AM NA. Manage projects when nominated to do so.

  • Prepare product or market related communications for clients, external customers, and external conferences. Own the repository of files and slides needed to have presentations ready for off the shelf use;

  • Support the Automotive negotiation process through analysis and recommendations and contract administration management. 

 

Location: Hamilton (Canada), Detroit (MI) , East Chicago (IN) or Nashville (TN)

 

What you’ll need

 

Education

Minimum University Degree

Minimum 3-5 years job related experience

 

Knowledge

The following working knowledge is required:

  • automotive products and applications;
  • automotive market segment and customer’s needs and drivers;
  • ArcelorMittal North America’s strategic direction and key initiatives;
  • automotive competitors;
  • forecasting methods;
  • ArcelorMittal North America automotive pricing structure;
  • domestic and global economic trends and steel market developments;
  • North American trade issues, economic trends, regulations, and steel market developments.

 

Required skills :

  • Excellent planning and Project management skills;
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills;
  • Excellent personal computer, standard corporate software applications and applicable systems skills;
  • Excellent presentation skills ;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
