Responsibilities

  • Regularly perform complex and critical independent research and analysis for members of the organization in a wide range of specialties. Prepare and present interpretation of findings and provide relevant conclusions.
  • Publish reports for leadership that analyze economic, market, and industry data. Must be able to maneuver through multiple sources of information and meet strict deadlines. 
  • Assist in development of market studies and strategies through market research. Topics to be researched include customers, steel consumption, market drivers, product trends, and competitive environment.  
  • Analyze data related to the steel industry to understand trends in demand, supply, prices, and costs.
  • Perform competitor analysis that includes assessment of competitors’ facilities, product offering, and strategies to understand implications for company.
  • Help to develop and/or deliver presentations for external and internal audiences pertaining to the company, the steel industry, steel-consuming markets, the economy or other requested needs. 
  • Represent Strategic Marketing in customer visits, meetings, or other outside events as requested.

 

 

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Economics or related field
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to conduct in-depth analytic research to predict trends and develop strategy
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills
  • Ability to travel occasionally

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel pivot tables, data extraction and analysis
  • Ability to present to a high influence audience including both internal and external stakeholders
  • Prior steel industry experience
