Internal Line Sequencer

(6-month contract)

Overall Responsibility:

• Create violation free line sequences for manufacturing approval in a timely manner.
• Resolve and track coil size issues.
• Manage flow of information and material to the Outside Processors.
• Track, investigate and expedite aged work in process inventory.
• Assist in the implementation of process and technology improvements.

Accountabilities:

• Run required algorithms, resolve violations and generate and issue line sequences to optimize internal operations.
• Facilitate the resolution of coil size issues that are outside the minimum and maximum capabilities of the operational step.
• Sustain required inventory buffers in front of internal operations and effectively communicate exceptions.
• Issue lineups consistent with direction from Team Leader, Launch Execution and Supply Chain Planning groups.
• Ensure line sequences have been released with Manufacturing approval and within specified timelines.
• Track, investigate and expedite aged work in process material.
• Communicate, document and monitor Customer Service Alert requirements to achieve Customer Service Alert Negotiated Dates.
• Develop, test, lead, and sign-off on process and technology continuous improvement activities.

Knowledge & Skills:

• Working knowledge of Supply Chain theory, order cycle time and logistics capability is an asset.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required.
• Proficient personal computer, standard corporate software applications and applicable systems are required.
• Good negotiation skills are required.
• Quick learner who can work well with others and independently
• Very good skills to multi-task and manage shifting priorities are required.

Education & Accreditation:

• Minimum College Diploma (or equivalent job knowledge).
• Job related experience in Supply Chain is an asset. 

Work Environment:  

• Office environment.   
• This position is eligible for remote work in accordance with our Flexible Work Options Policy. 

Hours of Work:

• Flexible schedule required.  Schedule for this position is 10–12-hour day shift (6 AM to 6 PM on weekdays and 6 AM to 4 PM on weekends)
