Senior Full Stack Developer

The successful candidate will leverage their experiences and knowledge, working with a dedicated and passionate team, to help transform our IT Landscape working with various technologies while further developing and growing their skills.   

 

Role Accountabilities:

 

  • Works as part of a high performing team (technical & multi-discipline teams) responsible for the support of our modernized applications that span multiple business processes including our Electronic Commerce (EC) platform that provide web/mobile applications to both our external customers and vendors. 
  • Collaborates effectively with Business Users and the IT Solutions team to translate requirements into software solutions, delivering high quality results within project schedule timelines following the full software development life cycle (SDLC).  
  • Team member/contributor to our DevOps initiative.  Assists the Modernization Lead in application development technical decisions which include but not limited to:
    • Understanding the next generation of core development tools for web and mobile applications that are required for our overall business and technology transformation (and how it fits in with our SAP overall roadmap)
    • Developing the technical strategy and key tactics to reach the desired outcome
    • Ensuring that others in the team are following best practices and standards, continuing to do code reviews and providing assistance in coding and involved with the full system development lifecycle. 
  • Acts as a Senior member of our Modernization team, assisting others in providing architecture oversight for our full stack (both frontend and backend) web development processes and environment (where we are migrating our legacy homegrown applications). 

 

General Requirements:

 

  • Senior Full Stack Developer with more than 5 years of relevant/significant experience in software development lifecycle with a focus on design and development.
  • Strong experience in both front and back end languages and frameworks and who is considered to have expert level technical knowledge in the multiple technologies listed below (including DevOps/DevSecOps).  
  • Over 2 years of Angular development experience as a Senior developer.
  • Individual with a problem-solving mindset who has a desire to be part of this essential team that is necessary for development/support responsibilities. 
  • Must have a strong command of the English language with excellent verbal & written communication skills. 
  • Excellent Analytical & Troubleshooting skills.  
  • Self-starter & with ability to plan and estimate tasks.  
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar.

 

Required Technical Skills:  

 

Front-End (UX/UI):  

  • Expert in Web application development using HTML5, JavaScript, Typescript and CSS  
  • Expert in Angular Framework  
  • Advanced working knowledge with Testing frameworks – Mockito, Selenium or other  
  • Comfortable with Node.js and NPM 
  • Advanced working knowledge of Bootstrap, Angular Material and Angular Reactive Forms  
  • Upgrade existing angular applications in 2+ to 12. 
  • Good working knowledge in Mobile Development Frameworks such as Xamarin for Android 

 

Back-End:  

  • Expert in server-side REST API Development using either Spring Boot Maven (Java) or ASP.NET Web API 2(C#)/.NET Core/.Net 5 frameworks  
  • Proficient use of Object Relational Mapping (ORM) (such as Hibernate, JPA, Entity Framework, etc.)  
  • Strong database skills:  PL/SQL or SQL and developing stored procedures/functions using an RDBMS preferably Oracle 11  
  • Automated test case development using testing frameworks:  Junit (Java) or Spring test suite or xUnit.net  (C#)   
  • Working knowledge of dependency injection, Inversion of Control (IoC), Common Language Runtime (CLR) and Multi-Threading and integrate data storage solutions like SharePoint. 

 

Other Requirements:  

  • Experience with Agile Software Development and SCRUM framework 
  • Expert in API design and best practices and very familiar with Microservices architecture 
  • Developing mobile responsive web applications  
  • Experience of DevOps practices and tools (e.g. Creating, maintaining a CI/CD pipeline in Jenkins and/or Azure DevOps) and in carrying out a DevOps Roadmap to utilize additional tools and streamline processes. 
  • Azure AD integration using ADAL, ADAL4J, MSAL libraries 
  • Working knowledge of OAuth2, JWT for application authentication and authorization  
  • Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design concepts 
  • Evidence of SOLID and design pattern use 
  • Proper version control practices using GIT and SVN 
  • Full SDLC experience from collecting user stories and requirements to developing unit tests  

 

Nice to Have:  

  • Experience in implementing cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure and using Azure services (e.g. Active directory, Graph API, Databricks) 
  • Knowledgeable in Linux Server Environment (Configuration, Maintenance and Development)  
  • Experience using Kotlin  
  • Knowledge and experience working with ERP systems (e.g. SAP)  
  • Knowledge and experience working with the SAP Fiori Architecture and building/configuring SAP Fiori applications 
  • Knowledge in Microsoft reporting and analytic tools such as Power BI, SSRS

  • Standard Monday to Friday office hours
