Location: Houston, TX

Responsibility:
We are looking for an Accounts Assistant, to support controller in all aspects of Credit risk management, Cash Management, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and forecasts preparation, as well as assist in management of monthly accounts. 

Following are the key responsibilities and activities for the role:

•    Accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL and Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Recognition
•    Cash flow forecasting and analysis
•    Credit risk management – prepare for and organize local credit committee meetings to review collections, overdue receivables, credit limit and propose collection strategy including forward looking credit risk exposure
•    Manage trade finance instrument requirements and issuance
•    Manage TSR
•    Other accounting functions and reporting as required

Requirements and skills

•    Proven working experience in Finance function, preferably for a large organization
•    2-5 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
•    Advanced degree in Accounting / Finance
•    Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
•    Experience with creating financial statements
•    Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
•    Excellent accounting software user, experience of SAP accounting module would be an advantage
•    Administration skills
